White River Cooperative Manages Diverse Product Lines With AgVantage Software

AgVantage Software platforms help the White River Cooperative manage its diverse product lines at its eight locations in south central Indiana.

“We are dedicated to the success of our customers, and AgVantage allows us to help our customers succeed,” says Jamie Shaw, White River’s office manager. “Their products have a lot of enhanced features to help our business.”

AgVantage’s Edge Energy Dispatching and Mapping software has greatly increased delivery efficiency by allowing the coop to schedule and view routes from the map. “It gives our drivers more information about their deliveries, which helps the individual drivers be more efficient,” Shaw says.

White River Coop is in its second year of using AgVantage’s agronomy software and also uses AgVantage’s grain accounting and invoicing software in its stores and accounting applications in the office, including general ledger accounts.

When White River upgraded its computer operating system in April, Shaw says, it was able to join AgVantage’s cloud access system instead of maintaining its own system. “We are really pleased with it so far,”Shaw states. “It means we don’t have to worry about maintaining our own equipment, because AgVantage is taking care of all of it for us, which is a time-saving convenience.”

Instant Access

White River’s customers have instant information access through eAgVantage, where they can view their statements, access their contracts, look up their grain deliveries and storage information, and record their grain settlement accounts. The 1,340 members of White River Coop also can see their patronage information.

“We’re setting up a system so our customers can make their payments directly to the coop via credit cards using eAgvantage,” relates Shaw. “We added the ability to e-mail statements and invoices this year, and we have received a lot of positive feedback from our customers because they appreciate getting their statements by e-mail.”

AgVantage’s programs also provide the coop’s managers with daily position reports so they have the ability to know where the coop’s grain operations stand at any particular moment.

“We are in the process of installing the AgVantage business intelligence modules for data analytics, which will enhance the coop’s business management by allowing us to see our data in graphic display,” Shaw notes. White River has purchased business intelligence modules for agronomy, grain, energy, and financial departments.

AgVantage’s customer service is outstanding, according to Shaw. “If we have a suggestion, they listen to us and they have teams dedicated to looking into our suggestions,” she states. “They also offer training support for us. They take good care of us.”
