In December 2017, Centaur introduced its Internet of Crops™ (IOC) sensor. The IOC sensor uses cloud-based technology and sensors that move with each crop to provide full-time monitoring across the entire supply chain, from the field to the family table, to prevent spoilage.
“The Internet of Crops sensor can meet the needs of a particular crop and is able to monitor whatever data is important. The software also provides analytics for cognitive pest management and precision fumigation and soon will include micro toxin control and freshness,” says Rich Kottmeyer, vice president of the Americas and global sales and marketing.
Early Information
“The IOC sensor provides an unprecedented capacity to track, monitor, and instantly adjust the conditions in storage to prevent spoilage and reduce unnecessary chemical use. The sensor installs easily in minutes and provides early information before problems and losses occur,” adds Kottmeyer.
