In 2017, Scott Equipment Co. introduced the Scott smooth-wall bin.
According to Dan Petermeier, salesman, these modular bins have a smooth double-wall and chamfered-corner design, one that is quick to erect and features virtually maintenance-free aluminized exterior walls.
“Industrial and agricultural manufacturing processes require storage and staging of various materials – from plastic pellets and wood fiber to animal feed ingredients and finished feeds,” he explains. “These new bins feature 45-degree corners that dramatically reduce areas for product compaction, and fewer fasteners are required, reducing on-site assembly time.”
“Aluminized exterior sheets and flashing are used to construct the perimeter panels, and this hot dip process provides corrosion protection up to four times that of galvanized steel,” adds Petermeier. “The double-wall design provides strength and an insulation aspect not found in single-wall bins.”
