Lundell Plastics Corp.

On the family farm one night in 1981, agricultural engineer Vance Lundell had a fantastic idea.

Company Info

While carrying out one of those unpleasant tasks which hog owners must, he thought of how nice it would be to move more materials by auger.

Knowing that manure would quickly corrode traditional steel augers, his next idea would forever change the agriculture industry: What if augers could be made of plastic?

Vance spent the next several years researching, developing, and testing what would become the first ever poly auger. As Vance had predicted, the corrosion resistance and light weight proved useful in many other applications such as seed handling and industrial production.

Poly Straight flighting went into production in the Quad Cities and gained success despite the prevailing farm crisis. After 2 years, the business needed room to grow, so Vance decided to move Lundell Plastics back to the family farm where it all began.

Over the years, the great ideas have continued to come in the form of groundbreaking Lundell Plastics products.

Lundell's poly flighting is now the industry standard for durability and performance, sold as standard equipment in many leading equipment brands.

Now with a major manufacturing facility near the family farm in Odebolt, Iowa, the company is a champion of American crafted innovation.

The latest improvements to the plant include over 13,000 additional square feet and the most cutting-edge fabrication technologies, making room for the next generation of product designs.

In the last several years, Lundell has introduced additional combine corn head products, added various news sizes for existing products, and expanded its facilities by completing a 16,000 sq ft research and development expansion.

New thermoforming machines also have been added to the Odebolt, Iowa, headquarters so the company can manufacture more to fit your needs.
