Knobelsdorff President/CEO Karl von Knobelsdorff Appointed to National Fire Protection Association

Goodhue, MN - Aug. 19 - CEO/President of Knobelsdorff (KE), Karl von Knobelsdorff, was recently appointed as Principal on the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code-Making Panel 14, with an emphasis on Chapter 5 Special Occupancy and Hazardous Locations, articles 500-516.

“I’m honored to be part of this committee. It shows our commitment to the industry we work in, making sure our voices are heard while keeping our customers, people and facilities safe,” said von Knobelsdorff.

The committee’s primary responsibility is to create documents on minimizing the risk of electricity as a source of electric shock and as a potential ignition source of fires and explosions, as well as creating the language to help minimize the propagation of fire and explosions due to electrical installations.
